Writers. Performers. Makers. Architects. Designers. Folk artists. Storytellers.
Many decisions that shape our shared future are made without the people who understand how to imagine, make, interpret, question, and connect.
Res Creativa is bringing together artists, creative practitioners, culture bearers, and allies who believe imagination is not a luxury.
It is civic infrastructure.
Creative practice belongs wherever communities are imagining what comes next. The challenges we face are political, economic, and technological. They are also challenges of imagination: What futures can we envision? What possibilities can we create? What might change when creative people are part of the conversation?
Those questions inspired Res Creativa. Now we’re inviting more people to shape this new alliance.
Join us as we build
Res Creativa is unifying through the people who choose to participate now. Their perspectives and relationships will shape its early culture, priorities, and direction.
There is no cost to join, and no obligation beyond the level of participation you choose. Some people may simply stay connected and lend their encouragement. Others may take part in conversations, working groups, or future projects. Both forms of participation matter.
Review the first Opportunity Docket
Founding members are developing Res Creativa’s inaugural Opportunity Docket: a collection of ideas, initiatives, and possibilities for where creative practice could contribute to civic life.
When the Docket is ready, we’ll invite you to review it. You can decide then whether you support it and wish to also be listed in the Docket as a Charter Supporter. Being listed will be optional, and your name will be included only with your permission.
The Docket is an opening for discussion about what we might build together. It is not a finished plan or a commitment to every idea it contains.
Shape what comes next
Res Creativa is connecting people across disciplines, generations, places, and creative traditions. As the alliance develops, there will be opportunities to contribute in different ways, from sharing ideas to shaping initiatives and priorities.
People who participate during this founding period can establish the culture and direction of the alliance. Some may choose to take on leadership roles as its governance develops.
A broader and more varied community will give Res Creativa a stronger foundation.
If you believe creative practice belongs in public life, we invite you to join us. And if you know someone who shares that belief, please pass this invitation along.
Build Res Creativa with us
We are making a place where imagination has standing, creative practice is recognized as a public resource, and individuals from across the arts can work together to expand what is possible.
Join us at rescreativa.org/join.
If you have already joined, thank you. Please share this invitation with artists, makers, writers, performers, architects, designers, culture bearers, and others who care about the future we are making together.
