The Health Humanities Consortium brings together educators, clinicians, scholars, and artists who use humanistic and creative approaches to deepen our understanding of health, illness, and care. The Consortium supports programs and practices that draw on visual art, theater, film, creative writing, and the social sciences to illuminate the lived experiences of patients and caregivers, and to strengthen reflection and critical thinking in health‑related fields.
Its work includes building community, sharing teaching resources, encouraging research, and helping institutions recognize the value of humanistic and artistic methods in shaping more attentive, imaginative, and culturally aware health care. The Consortium serves as a hub for people committed to keeping the human experience at the center of health.
