What could artists and allies contribute before a crisis, while communities still have room to imagine what comes next?
A Different Kind of Movement

Before the Decisions Are Made
A crisis can bring artists into the streets, onto stages, and into public debate. That work matters. We are also interested in what creative people can do before a crisis.
What might change if artists helped communities ask better questions early? If people could try out possibilities together before a plan was fixed? If creative practitioners had a place alongside educators, researchers, public servants, and neighbors as decisions took shape?
Res Creativa is a new alliance working toward that kind of participation. We connect individuals across artistic disciplines and with allies who want to put imagination and creative practice to work in civic life.
Our founding members are developing an Opportunity Docket to identify promising places to begin. It will help us choose where to focus our energy and what we might build together.
We are starting with people, ideas, and a willingness to make something useful.
